US road trip 07

Day 20: thursday 29th of march - San Francisco

weather: San Francisco - sunny - 60°F

Today, visit of the town (Golden Gate Bridge, Pier 39, ...). We wanted to book for tomorrow for Alcatraz but it was sold out until monday. We gonna sleep in the same motel. For the night, we went to the nightclub boss.

Jour 20 : jeudi 29 mars - San Francisco

Aujourd'hui, visite de la ville (Golden Gate Bridge, Pier 39,...) On voulait réserver Alatraz pour demain mais c'était complet jusque lundi. On dort dans le même hôtel. Pour ce soir, nous sommes allés à la discothèque boss.

Day 21 - Friday 30th of march - San Francisco - Santa Barbara (344 mls/6h)

Today, visit of the downtown, chinatown,... At 6 pm, we left this beautifull and interesting city. After 6 hours of road, we arrived at Santa Barbara. We tried to find a motel but we are a friday night in Santa Barbara!!Really expensive or sold out. After 2 hours of research, we decided to sleep in the car along the beach. We wanted to do it at least once thus, it's the right moment! It wasn't really comfortable at three with the bags but... we finally slept a couple of hours...

Jour 21 - Vendredi 30 mars - San Francisco - Santa Barbara (550 kms/6h)

Aujourd'hui, visite du centre ville, chinatown, ... A 18h, on quitte cette belle et interressante ville. Après 6h de route, on arrive à Santa Barbara. On essaye de trouver un motel mais un vendredi soir à Santa Barbara! Hors prix ou complet. Après deux heures de recherches, on a décidé de dormir dans la voiture le long de la plage. On voulait le faire au moins une fois donc c'était le bon le moment... C'était pas très comfortable à trois avec tous les sacs mais... on a finalement dormi quelques heures...

Day 22 - Saturday 31st of march - Santa Barbara - Santa Monica (92 mls / 1,5 h)

After those few hours in the car, we wake up, took a breakfast in Starbucks Cofee and used the swimmingpool of a super 8 motel. It was lovely. Then we visited Santa Barbara under a nice weather. We left at 6 pm to reach Santa Monica in 1 hour and half. We found a motel (Encore motel, 75 $) and enjoyed a saturday night in the nightclubs of Santa Monica.

Jour 22 - Samedi 32 mars - Santa Barbara - Santa Monica (150 kms / 1,5 h)

météo: Santa Barbara - ensoleillé - 21°C

Après ces quelques heures dans la voiture, on s'est levé, on a pris un petit déjeuner dans un Starbuck Cofee et on a "emprunté" la piscine d'un super 8 motel. C'était super. Ensuite, on a visité Santa Barbara sous un bon soleil. On est parti à 18h pour arriver à Santa Monica une heure et demi plus tard. On a trouvé un motel (Encore motel, 55 euros) et ensuite nous avons profiter d'un samedi soir dans les discothèques de Santa Monica.

Day 23 - Sunday 1st of april - Santa Monica - Beverly Hills (107 mls / 2h)

After problems with the laptop (virus, something broken inside, the mouse,....) now it's already for work! Thus after two hours to visit, we finally found our way to Malibu. It's smaller than in tv, the lifeguard's car is yellow now, and Mitch has changed a bit.... but we enjoyed the pacific ocean... After that we took the road to Beverly Hills. We found a motel (Royal Santa Monica Motel, 75$) and started to search Brandon. We didn't found him but instead we found two local girls of Beverly Hills. They showed us some small houses like those of Mr Playboy, Madona, Demi Moore,Brad Pitt,... The girls were driving...like americans but we had a lovey time! They showed us during two hours the best places of Beverly Hills. After that, we went home and relaxed a bit and finally didn't move anymore from the Hotel.

Jour 23 - Dimanche 1er avril - Santa Monica - Beverly Hills (171 kms / 2h)

météo: Santa Monica - ensoleillé - 17°

Après des problèmes avec l'ordi (virus, quelque chose de cassé à l'intérieur, la souris,...) maintenant, on est sauve et ca devrait marcher correctement. Donc après deux heures de visite, on a finalement trouvé le chemin de Malibu. C'est plus petit qu'à la télé, la voiture de secouriste est jaune et Mitch a changé un peu ... mais on a profité de l'océan pacifique. Ensuite, on a pris la route pour Beverly Hills. On a trouvé un motel (Royal Santa Monica Motel, 53 euros) et commencé à chercher Brandon mais on l'a pas trouvé. A la place, on a rencontré deux filles de Beverly Hills qui nous ont montrés les petites maisons de Mr Playboy, Madona, Demi Moore, Brad Pitt,...Les filles roulaient...à l'américaine mais on a passé un bon moment! Elles nous ont montrés pendant deux heures les plus beaux endroits de Beverly Hills. Ensuite, on est rentrés se relaxer un peu. Pour finir on a plus bougé de l 'hôtel.

Day 24 - Monday 2nd of april - Hollywood

Today we passed the day in Hollywood Universal Studio. The entrance was expensive (I had 10$ off the price, but it still cost us 51$ per person). It was really interesting. We started by the visit of the studios (fire effects, storms, famous movies cars, ....) They were also registering the new movie of Eddy Murphy. Then we did the attractions like Shrek 4D, Jurassic Park, Terminator, Backdraft, back to the future (excellent), making of special effects,... It was a nice day. Then we hardly found a motel in Los Angeles (Hollywood Inn express south motel, 69$).

Journée 24 - Lundi 2 avril - Hollywood

météo: Hollywood - ensolleillé - 16°C

Aujourd'hui, on a passé la journée au Studio Universal d'Hollywood. L'entrée était chère (j'avais 7 euros sur le prix, mais ça nous a quand même coûté 45 eur par personne). C'était vraiment interessant. ON a commencé avec la visite des studios (effets de feux, tempêtes, les fameuses voitures de films,...). Ils étaient aussi en train d'enregistrer le nouveau film d'Eddy Murphy. Ensuite, nous avons fait les attractions telles que Shrek 4D, Jurassic Park, Terminator, Backdraft, retour vers le futur (excellent), making of des effects spéciaux,... C'était une bonne journée. Après nous avons durement trouvé un hôtel à Los Angeles (Hollywood Inn express south motel, 51 eur)
